The 2022 LACMA Art+Film Gala

For the second year in a row, the dinner at the LACMA Art+Film Gala presented by Gucci was prepared by Gucci Osteria Beverly Hills. The annual event, which is now in its eleventh edition, hosted a star-studded lineup of guests in Gucci including Jared Leto, Janelle Monáe, Billie Eilish, Carey Mulligan, Lee Byung-hun, Elliot Page, Idris Elba, Andrew Garfield, Jodie Turner-Smith, Julia Garner, Måneskin, and Henry Golding among others. The proceeds from the gala go toward underwriting LACMA’s initiative to make film more central to the museum’s curatorial programming, while also funding LACMA’s broader mission, further consolidating the House’s connection with the city.

Head Chef Mattia Agazzi drew from his experiences in Los Angeles and from Italian traditions to create a special menu that spoke to the multicultural ethos that lies at the core of Gucci Osteria. Vegetarian options like a grilled artichoke salad with truffles and an eggplant parmigiana are reflective of a new direction that further infuses the spirit of the city into the menu. For dessert, Pastry Chef Tamara Rigo thought of four bite-sized creations including a cream puff topped with the signature Star Eye motif, symbol of Gucci Osteria and often seen in the House’s collections.

Mattia also highlighted the presence of vegan options within the menu, which speak to the restaurant’s ever-evolving vision of offering options that are inclusive and reflective of the city’s culture.
